Public Hearing for Bend Code Changes to Facilitate and Expand Housing Development

The City of Bend will hold a hybrid public hearing on Bend Development Code changes to address several areas, including:
- Implement state legislation to facilitate housing development, allowing it in more locations and situations, and increasing height and density limits
- Eliminate requirement for building permits in advance of middle housing land division
- Remove option to request appeal to City Council on development applications, or for Council to review decisions by the hearings officer or planning commission
- Support development of town homes, cottage developments and shared courts

The hearing is on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 7:00 pm. You may attend in person in council chambers at 710 NW Wall Street. You may also attend virtually, using instructions in the meeting agenda here. Note that preregistration is required if you wish to speak.
