One issue that seems to get the Southern  Crossing  NA board (and all the other NA boards throughout Bend) a lot of email is traffic  safety. Typical requests and things SCNA can help achieve are speed checks  resulting in data supporting cross walks or speed bumps, highlighting an intersection prime for a new roundabout to decrease crash number or severity potential, or other issues, or connecting and working with groups like ODOT on bigger issues like Murphy Crossing or Cooley Road expansions. 
   
The City is calling for a volunteer or two from its  citizens to be a citizen voice for change. SCNA would be proud to help support  one of you joining that committee, which is likely to only meet quarterly moving  forward. If you are interested, please let us know!
