NLA Updates from the City of Bend
July 3, 2018~
Neighborhood Leadership Alliance Next Steps
The application period for the Neighborhood Leadership Alliance closed on June 22. The list of nominees is nearly completed, Joshua Romero, will be sending the applications and nominee names to Mayor Roats for review.
At the July 18 City Council meeting, Mayor Roats will appoint members to the NLA. Once the appointments are made, City staff will start the process of scheduling the committee’s first meeting.
In case you missed it, there was a budget adjustment at the June 20 City Council meeting that provides funding for a consultant to support the development and strategic planning for the NLA. An informal RFP is currently open and we hope to have a consultant in place by the first NLA meeting, if possible.
