2025 SCNA Summer Block Party
Join us on the summer solstice for this free, family-friendly celebration of summer and our great neighborhood. We will be taking over Blakely Park for the event, at the corner of Brookswood Boulevard and McClellan Road.
The day’s festivities will include a taco bar, pie-baking contest and tasting (see below), lawn games, prize drawings and live entertainment from two local talents:
- Dance and circus hula hoop performer, Ivana Hoop, will get the party started at 11:15 am. Following her performance, she will lead guided hoop play and dancing for all. Hula hoops are toys! And there will be lots to play with.
- Solo singer/songwriter, Ghost of Brian Craig, takes center stage at 2 pm featuring a captivating acoustic sound, using a looping pedal, harmonica, backing tracks and skillful acoustic guitar playing. You’ll hear great stories of the songs and be moved to dance to the originals and classic rock covers during this show.
Bring your camping chairs and blankets to picnic & socialize on Blakely Park’s spacious lawn. Note that parking is limited, so we encourage you to walk or bike to the party.
Please RSVP here to help us get a headcount for catering. As thanks, you’ll get an extra raffle ticket when you check in.
