Chance to Have Property Tax Questions Answered
October 30, 2012~
Deschutes County Assessor Scot Langton and his staff will hold Tax Town Hall meetings beginning next week through November 7 in La Pine, Bend, Sisters and Redmond.
The meetings will offer an opportunity for residents to ask questions about the taxation system, how the County appraises property and determines values, and any other questions that you can think of about your property taxes. Other topics of discussion: Why did your taxes go Up when the market value of your property went DOWN?, what does “maximum” assessed value mean to you, how does Measure 50 and other legislation affect your property taxes and maximum assessed value now and in future years?
