Fireworks Ban Reminder
Due to ongoing drought and high risk for fire, last year the Bend City Council permanently banned both the sale and use of fireworks within the city. This includes even fireworks deemed as legal by the state of Oregon. Violations are subject to a $750 fine and anyone whose fireworks causes property damage or injury could be subject to criminal or civil penalties. Please keep Bend safe by complying with the ban on fireworks. (Professional fireworks displays like those on Pilot Butte are still allowed, as are other displays that get a permit from the state fire marshal.)
Community members are encouraged to report the use of fireworks by calling 541-693-6911, or via email at [email protected]. (Email will not trigger a response because it is not continuously monitored.) Use of fireworks posing an immediate risk to persons or property are emergencies and should be reported by calling 911.
