More than 140 SCNA neighbors came together to celebrate the start of summer at our second annual Block Party on Saturday, June 21 at Blakely Park. The day’s festivities kicked off with giant bubble making and hula hoop dancing on the park’s expansive lawn, with both kids and parents getting into the action. Neighbors had a chance to socialize during a Taco Bar lunch capped with fresh-baked cherry pie for dessert. A party highlight was City Councilor Gina Franzosa, SCNA’s liaison on the Council, dropping by. After making brief remarks, Gina stayed to answer questions and chat with folks one-on-one. Thank you, Gina, for your continued support of our neighborhood.
